Kickstart your day with a pranayama and yoga class, followed by refreshing fruit juices and a wholesome wellness buffet breakfast in our restaurant. Situated next to Lotus Lake, Pangarh Lake Retreat provides a secure and peaceful space for leisurely strolls and relaxation. Utilize your free time to bask in the sun, embark on serene walks, witness breathtaking sunsets, and explore the picturesque surroundings. An optional afternoon yoga session at 4 pm offers a slower, gentler class, gently guiding you into the evening. Our buffet evening meal, featuring fresh salads and authentically prepared Indian delicacies, is served from 7:00 pm. Conclude your day with one of our evening activities at 8:00 pm, including kirtan, meditation, and classical Indian music.
PRANAYAMA & MEDITATION
Pranayama, in essence, involves the intentional prolongation and restraint of breath—an art form employing techniques to deliberately move, expand, and rhythmically stimulate the respiratory organs. This practice comprises inhalation to invigorate the system, exhalation to eliminate toxins, and retention to distribute the vital energy, known as “prana,” throughout the body. The disciplined and intentional regulation of breath serves as a bridge between the body, senses, and mind, fostering concentration and contributing to robust health and longevity.
Yoga Nidra, or yogic sleep, unfolds as the recipient lies on their back throughout the session without physical movement, remaining awake and conscious. The practice begins by employing various techniques to induce deep relaxation of the entire body. As the body relaxes, the unconscious mind is gradually revealed and retrained to release unnecessary habits, thereby advancing spiritual awareness. An integral part of this practice involves the recipient forming a positive intention (Sankalpa), imprinting affirmative traces in the unconscious.
Shirodhara, derived from “shiro” meaning head and “dhara” meaning flow, is an Ayurvedic therapy involving the continuous pouring of warm herbal oil over the forehead, also known as the Ajna Chakra. This region houses highly concentrated nerves and facilitates the circulation of vital life force or prana. The rhythmic flow of oil creates a vibration, saturating the forehead and scalp, penetrating deep into the nervous system. The gentle pressure and soothing warmth induce a profound state of rest, akin to deep meditation. Shirodhara aims to balance the mind, stabilize emotions, and promote healing within the body.
